  1. Not a bad list. But the title should have been 10 free android applications to use in place of 10 must have android applications, in case you don’t want to use the 10 must have applications, on Android.

    Here is my humble list.
    1. Home screen replacement – LauncherPro, no contest. the best and most frequently updated of the lot
    2. Messaging – Default is fine, all the replacements have too many options making it tedious to set up just right
    3. News Reader – I dont do much reading on the small phone screen, but google reader is my pick
    4. Security – Lookout is the best…
    5. Dictionary – Never needed it
    6. Browser – Default is best
    7. IM client – IMO is better I feel
    8. Application lock – Why would you need this? Its your phone. Lock your phone.
    9. Photo editor – Picsay is better though not something I use. Lightbox is also nice.
