Announce your musical tastes on Twitter using Tunes Tweeter
Most Tweeps (That’s the term used to refer to people who use twitter) use Twitter to share random quotes, funny jokes and useless poetry but some actually have good engaging conversations on it. And that is where the power of Twitter lies. The ability to let normal people have conversations, cutting across all the technical and physical barriers.
If you think about it, Twitter should have been the first application every developed by mankind because it mimics the most primitive and basic nature of humans. Talking. And socialising with like minded folks. That is what Twitter is all about and that is what makes Twitter so powerful and useful.
And now there is an application that tweets out your musical tastes to anyone willing to listen. Tunes Tweeter is a very simple application that does only one thing – Broadcast the name of the song that you’re listening to on iTunes to Twitter.
Download the zip file, extract it to a folder of your choice and launch the application. Give it your Twitter login credentials and you’re set.
Tunes Tweeter only works with iTunes for now, but that isn’t a problem for me as I only use iTunes for listening to music when I’m on windows.
So, how does it work ? Well, once the application is running, there is nothing for you to do. Continue listening to your music and Tunes Tweeter will get the names of the songs and the singer/band from iTunes and tweet it using your Twitter account.
You can choose to hide the above display by clicking on the Hide button and Tunes Tweeter will continue working in the background.
So, what are you waiting for. Download Tunes Tweeter and make even more like minded friends on Twitter.
