Youtube lets you play videos full screen on your computer. But, you’re limited with watching just the one video in full screen view and can’t use the computer for anything else during that time.
If you don’t like the full screen mode and all you want is to view the videos stretched to fit your browser’s window, then this tip might just be of interest to you.
Take the URL of the youtube video that you want to view. The URL would be something of this form.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J37CUN0ix7s
Now, to watch this video in a browser window, stretched and resizable, just edit the above URL and use the following URL instead
http://www.youtube.com/v/J37CUN0ix7s
So, basically, take the ID of the video, “J37CUN0ix7s” in our case, and just type it as youtube.com/v/VIDEO_ID.
Now, you should be able to watch the video any which way you want. Resize the browser window and the video also changes size along with the browser.
